What he said! Very common question that I get and this is the correct
answer. DO NOT try to directly match the load with the breaker (or fuse if
you insist) rating.

I would be very inclined to use a dedicated breaker for each
pump and
make them about double what the pump draw is. You're not
protecting the
pump IMO, but the wire leading to the pump (so a dead short
doesn't set
fire to your airplane). The LAST thing I'd want is a
spurious / false
break (particularly if it shuts down ALL my pumps.
