OK Mr. Aliev, since you always manage to tell me (in the nicest way) that I’ve screwed up, and I know you are familiar with a lot of marine products – here’s your chance again…J  The rest of you can chime in too – nothing like a good public flogging!

Since our planes are so electrically dependent I, of course, want good monitoring of batteries and alternators (yes, I have 2 of each). I don’t want 2 volt meters and 2 ammeters on my panel so I’ve been looking for a good single instrument that can monitor everything – and has high and low alarms.  I found this one http://www.newmarpower.com/pdf/Manual-DCE.pdf that does everything except dual ammeters in a 2 1/8” format. So I bought it at http://www.fisheriessupply.com/online/  for $220.

Ok Bully – do your stuff

Joe, this is a good unit. Newmar makes lots of very nice accessories, regulators, alternators etc. I don’t see why do you need dual ammeters? Connect it so it reads the main bus. Than turn one at the time. Don’t you disable one or the other with the field switch?
