Oh, I see. If "dripping" injected oil on the center of apex seals, the oil may never reach the side walls and get scavenged into the sump, or at least maybe less so. Interesting thought.

This is possibly the most annoying side effect of pre-mix.  If using the fuel injection would stop this, I'd consider switching, though I'm not sure how possible that is at the moment.
