It appears that I owe everyone an apology for allowing this latest virus to be broadcast through the LML.  I had so many copies of it on my system (none of which were activated, thankfully) that during the course of my cleanup I failed to notice that several of them actually came from the LML.  The first indication I had came this morning when I was forwarding the last several days' worth of digests to a small group who are unable to receive them through the normal channels.  These digests contained the decoded virus files as garbage text interspersed with the regular mailings.

I am taking some extreme measures over the next few days to eliminate any possibility of this happening again while this is going on.  Open posting privileges are being tentatively revoked which will insure that ALL posts coming to the LML must get through the approval process.  If we get a week under our belts with no further instances of the virus being passed to the LML I will reinstate open posting privileges to those who had them previously and keep a much more watchful eye on the approval of all messages.  I sincerely apologize to anyone out there who managed to infect their system as a result of a tainted post that was sent by the LML.  In the future please remember, we accept no attachments of any kind here at the LML, and if a post comes through with something stuck to it that it's highly unlikely it's a benign file.  Please don't click on anything attached to any emails, regardless of the source... not until you've verified that the attachment is actually a picture or drawing or some other sort of valid file.  Keep a watchful eye out for extraneous extensions on filenames, and remember that if it ends in anything other than .html, .htm, .jpg, or .gif it's likely that there's something nasty tucked inside.

Thanks again for your time.
