I am planning on preparing the wing for speed brakes but not installing
them. The newer Legacy kits, serial #5 and later, already have pockets built
into the wing for speed brakes. It should be easy enough to wire the empty
pockets and cut them open at a later date if it is found that they are
necessary.
The main reason for not installing them right away are three-fold:
1. Simplicity, I want to build the airplane in the quickest and most simple
form. (though it will, as any plane this speed should, be IFR equipped)
2. Weight, I will add nothing to the airplane unless it is necessary.
3. As it stands now, this plane will probably take me 4-5 months of
full-time work to complete, why add to it? lol

General question for all you Legacy Builders How many of you are planning on installing Speed brakes or are currently
installing speed brakes? Why or why not also?
