Dave:
You are sooooo right about the Meridian. You can imagine the fuel flow at 260 Kts, it has to be around 40 GPH, compared to 14.5 GPH in the IV-P at 58% power to get 260 Kts. With your Magnum engine, you can probably get 305 KTs TAS at 25,000' with 75% power and 22 GPH. Try it sometime.
