why speced it for the fuel caps? Just a quirk of the manual?
It would seem to me that the fuel cap is MORE than held captive by the
bond-material-rivets and the overlying BID lay-ups.
Good question - best to ask Lancair tech reps.
BTW, I did stick an ohm-meter on Hysol and didn't find it to be at all
conductive... Unlike our carbon skins. I'm preparing a second batch to
double check my measurements.
I haven't done continuity checks on Hysol adhesives, but to say I'd be
shocked to find it conductive would be an understatement!!
