Okay, guys, I appreciate the humor, but do you have any idea what it's like to live with 6 cats and two dogs? You've clearly never walked into the garage and seen the biggest cat sitting inside the inverted Lancair canopy -- I could just imagine those claws digging into the plexiglass -- I went very, very quietly up to him to collect him without startling him....
Speaking of canopies, I was wiping a fiberglass part with methylene chloride this weekend while standing next to the canopy (which was inverted on the floor in its wooden cradle) when I jostled my arm and spilled a little methylene chloride on it. Just a few drops but it scared the life out of me. Fortunately, the protective covering was still on it and I had just retaped the small bit around the edge with electrical tape. No damage, fortunately, as the plexiglass was fully covered. But a lesson to be learned which I share with the rest of you. Don't go anywhere near your plexiglass with methylene chloride, and always keep it fully covered. Even the little bit around the edge.
