A Jitterbug sander is a vibration sander.  The sanding pad moves back   an forth. This usually refers to an air driven vibration sander.
An Orbital sander moves it's sanding disc in an orbit or circle.
A Random Orbital sander moves it's sanding disc in a random pattern.    This prevents swirls on the surface.
A Belt Sander move it's sanding belt in a straight line on the surface.

The following link has a picture of a Jitterbug sander.  I am using a random orbital sander on my Polyfiber primer and Superfil filler.
