You can get hardened drill bushings from most machine tool suppliers, although you could easily build one yourself if you have a drill press and a set of numbered drills.  I made quite a few along the way for my project using chunks of maple, and have a couple from aluminum and steel as well.  Cut the blocks to whatever size is convenient for the place you need to drill and drill them out with a numbered or lettered drill the next size up from the drill size you intend to use.  If you have the room you can clamp them to the workpiece, if not, holding them tight against the part works just fine, maybe even better.  When you hold them manually you can really feel when the hand drill is starting to misalign.  As long as the table to your drill press is perpendicular to the quill these hand made jobs work just great.  FWIW.
