(You out there Marv?) If anyone is interested in seeing them, I'll forward them to you directly if you send me your e-mail address. The electronic damage done was to the following: Three miscellaneous United Instruments gauges for hydraulic pressure, flap position and one other item I don't recall. All instrument lighting was lost as was the heading indication on a Sandel HSI. The flux valve checked OK, so it seems to be a problem with the Sandel unit. The EFI fuel indicator was also bad and that turned out to be both the indicator and electronics attached to the probes. The rudder hinges were pretty charred and the owner has replaced them. He's already repaired the damage to the rudder and hopes to fly the plane tomorrow. He blended the damaged prop blade and then made the other two look the same. He's also going to have it dynamically re-balanced. I was told that the lightning definitely hit the prop, so that's what caused the chip in it. Don Goetz told the owner that static wicks wouldn't have made any difference here. Anyone out there have anything to rebut that? I don't know enough to comment with any degree of certainty, but I question that statement.
