I chose to permanently bond them. I have plenty of access through the lighting panel which I built into the tip and the permanent bond was much easier. I have an additional question. I can't find any kind of bid schedule in the manual for permanently bonding the wingtips. It does mention to use structural adhesive which I was lucky to have just enough and just squeaked under the expiration date on the can. The joggles are not double joggles and therefore I'm thinking that there is no additional bid layups to put over the exterior of the wingtip after the initial bond. Is this correct? Have any of you who have permanently bonded your wingtips added an additional bid on the exterior surface? Is the structural adhesive enough of a bond, or am I missing something? Thanks for your opinions, suggestions, and facts in advance, Curtis Krouse N753K >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
