I know that years ago the Long Eze builders use the wheel arch as a antenna location. It was discovered that the flexing of this arch broke the copper foil of the antenna. If there's no room for the hard line to flex independently then it might do the same. I know there will be less movement if the ES but that's not a chance I will take.
