Chapter 9, Outboard Wing Sections, page 9-7
Part 4. Procedure
A. Outboard wing sections
Step 2. "Attach the outbd wings."
Step 8. "Make sure everything is still level, and that the top skins are meeting properly .... When you are satisfied that all is correct" ...

The problem begins here. When I bolt the wing to the stub, I notice on the trailing edge where the two come together, there is a  1/4" difference in the top skin positions.

In other words, looking at the trailing edge joint between the wing and the stub, the top skin of the wing is 1/4" above the top skin of the stub wing. What can be done to correct this? ("Satisfied that all is correct" ...)

I can align them using clamps that move them into proper position, you know, clamp across both skins with a sufficiently large clamp that bridges both top and bottom skins of both wing and stub, then drill the requisit holes in the 5/16" X 1" aluminum "spar attach plate" to maintain that alignment. After all other internal construction is done, complete the closeout of the bottom skin. Will this not cause tension internal to that wing for the rest of it's life?  Is this a suitable resolution?

How am I to be "satisfied that all is correct".
