My ES has the S-Tec turn coordinator and I have had none of the indications you describe in cold flying.  I have flown in 25 degree conditions this winter on several occasions with no delay in proper function of the "little airplane".  Don't know what could be wrong but, if I were you, I would be expecting this contition to worsen.  Sounds like bench testing after a night in the refrigerator might be in order.
