Ron,

It is my understanding that the tail section and fast build door are the only
two items not currently being shipped with the kit.  I spoke to a builder today
that finished the workshop last friday and was told that her door and tail would
be shipped in February.  My kit arrives this Friday and I will let you know if
the tail is included.  At this point I am not sure.  One thing for certain is
that the door will not be included.  Lancair gets the doors from the
Philippines.  When they arrive they are carefully inspected.  When I was there a
couple weeks ago one of the two doors in the shop were not functioning
properly.  The technician demonstrated the problem for me and then spent several
hours adjusting the closure mechanism get it to operate smoothly.   He said all
doors are now inspected to ensure they are functioning properly an that this
time, compounded by demand and required construction time in the Philippines,
are why they are not shipped with the kit.
