In regards to filling the rod ends with micro.  If memory serves, the IV manual call for the rod ends with an open end with flox.  Use flox instead of micro because micro will crush and shift easier then flox.  What I did was take all my rod ends that would accept filling & insert the threaded end into a cardboard box then fill them all at once.
