Marv:
Thank you for your measured response.  It is certainly fitting and appropriate in the
circumstances.
I believe it to be a (very) reasonable offer to those who wish to present their case
and views on the subject and I might add, a generous one for those (seemingly)
wanting and needing an advertising forum for their product.  It is now time to dazzle
us with your brilliance and cease trying to baffle us with your bu........t!
It is appreciated and welcome (and not unexpected from you Marv).  Your time and
effort on behalf of this forum is, as always, gratefully recognized.
I am quite real...............albeit, not quite as vocal as some..........until
something needs to be said.
You might want to consider me just another one of the 500 patiently, intently,
listening, taking it all in and reacting as required.  Just like lining up for that
ILS.... in trail.  You don't know who or what is at the controls.......really don't
care, as long as they maintain their airspeed and are where they're supposed to be
when they're supposed to be there, doing exactly what they're supposed to be to
ensure that their aircraft makes the touchdown zone without incident in the most
difficult of conditions!  We're mutually dependent for that short period of common
bonding in need and yet, later in the terminal, pass each other without any
acknowledgment, comforted by our own understanding of the magnitude of what we have
actually accomplished.
So it is here.
Regards,
VD

PS  I'm with you and believe that we should have had "public" political debates with
Nader, Buchanan and the others along with the "establishment" candidates.  It would
have made a difference and been a stimulus to the system.

.[Ok, here's what's going to happen... I have setup another mail list
with a completely different email address, that being "ceramics@olsusa.com".
Anyone who wants to participate in further discussions about ceramic engine
coatings is welcome to subscribe to this list and take up the discussion
over there.  As you all know, if you get more than 3 people in a room and
try to make all of them happy all of the time you are doomed to failure.
Since we have over 500 people in *this* "room", it is obvious to me
that there is no way in hell I'd ever be able to make everyone happy
regarding this particular subject.  Consequently I've decided that this
other approach should pretty much appease everyone involved here on the
Lancair Mail List by giving you the ability to either opt into or out of
those discussions as you see fit.

This new list is going to be unmoderated, as I simply do not have the
time to approve or reject the postings that will be coming to it.  That
job on the LML is already quite time consuming and so the Ceramics list
will be pretty much on autopilot.  The only delivery mode will be
immediate, which means there will be no daily digest for that list.
The only restriction that I have imposed upon it is that anyone who wants
to post to the Ceramics Mail List must be a subscriber.  I will attempt to
send individual emails to anyone who has participated in these discussions
on the LML who weren't subscribers to insure that they understand that
they now have a forum for them to air their views.

If you want to participate in these discussions please subscribe to
the list at http://olsusa.com:100/guest/RemoteListSummary/ceramics.
Subscriptions will be accepted immediately, but please wait to post anything
to the list until I send out a message letting everyone know that the
area is officially open.  If it happens that we get an overwhelming
response to this new forum by having more than 1/2 of the subscribers
to the LML subscribing, I will consider that a vote in favor of allowing
the discussions to continue on the LML and we'll move everything back
here at that time.

I hope this meets with everyone's approval, as I simply don't have
any other way to ascertain what the majority opinion is.  Here's your
chance to practice up for Nov 7... a subscription to the Ceramics list
is a vote to keep the discussions on the LML.  The majority will rule.
Can you tell I'm a Libertarian?

   <Marv>

PS... victor delta, I'd sure feel a lot better about corresponding with
you if you were a real person with a real name.  If your name is really
Victor Delta I apologize. ]
