I may not go with them (Deltahawk) if they are an option,
but they sure did seem to have a lot of positives. Of course, I didn't
get the con side last night.
A-- the Deltahawk is a very good concept. The TCM GAP is also a two-stroke, Jet-A, compression ignition engine. The major difference being the type of scavenging. The Deltahawk is loop-scavenged and the TCM GAP is Uni-flow. The loop-scavenged design uses piston ports for both intake and exhaust. The Uni-flow design uses piston ports for intake but four exhaust poppet valves for exhaust. The Uni-flow design trades off complexity for better flow and efficiency.
