My wife saw the MT at the Arlington air show three years ago. She said "They sure look nice." Sound familiar. She also asked, "are they better?" I responded there is pros and cons. asking for the pros I responded they are quieter to which she immediately said "Get one." So I sold the hartzell that was in the shop and purchased an MT 12B. Here are the results. In front of an O360F1A6 counterweighted Lycoming that was statically balanced to within 1/2 gram; the dynamic balance after fifty hours was reported at .025 inches per second. The technician said the macine was looking for the off balance point but it was hunting between 7 and 11 O'Clock. It doesn't get any better than that. It is also the smoothest four banger I have flown and is perhaps as smooth as the six's hanging on the 182's. Acceleration on the runway is strong and the climbout is steeper compared to the two blades. I can sure support you buying that three bladed eggbeater. Try it. You'll like it and oh yes, they are cool.
