Eric Kendall,
In regards to your tie down problem.  I have the quick release tie downs on
my 320 and they have been working fine for me since 1994.

Assuming that the little balls on the end of the shaft are lubricated and
free to move, my best guess is that the shaft is not being inserted far
enough into the hole.  This sometimes happens if the builder added more
finish fill around the hole after the tie down was installed.  If this is
the case, you can fix the problem by machining some aluminum off the hub
end.  That is, extend the 1/4 inch shaft diameter a little further to make
the shaft longer.

I suggest that you check with the previous owner to see if the tie downs
ever did work.

Bob Jude
