What is your time estimate on the TSIO550? A--Yes, the TSIOF-550 Calibration will follow the IOF-550 work. My estimate is a FAA TC in one year. Nemesis NXT (RENO '01) will be the driving force for this work. Q--What are your feelings on ceramic treatment of these engines. A--It works. Not as good as most would lead you to believe. The watch out is the ceramic chips damaging the turbine wheel. Q--Cost? A--Production cost are too high for everyone to want it. On an individual basis it will never pay for itself. You have to want it! It has it's place in the all out high performance engine. Q--Who's doing it. A--I do not know of a production application. LPE does it for the aftermarket.
