MORE AIRPLANES GROUNDED BY TCM CRANKSHAFT BULLETIN Just when you thought their were no further problems with your Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) engine comes word of another batch of crankshafts being added to the related Mandatory Service Bulletin (MSB). AVweb has learned that 388 additional crankshafts are being added to a revised bulletin, MSB 00-5C. If you fly a TCM 360-, 470-, 520- or 550- series engine with certain crankshaft serial numbers manufactured between April 1998 and March 2000, you could be one of the unlucky ones. If you are, you may soon be getting a phone call from TCM telling you what to do next. (Banging your head against the wall is not an option.) NOTE: AVweb's NewsWire contains details on the MSB plus a link to the TCM site for more info. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
