I too have never had a failure and hav= e been to FL280 (non pressurized) several times with several different iPads= . I've flown in AZ where it was 115 degrees and no AC. I do keep= the display out of direct sunlight but this little "consumer" product is mo= re reliable than most anything in the airplane. I keep a second iPad a= s a backup. The FAA has done extensive testing and has approved them a= s primary EFB for even the 121 guys. I guess there are many out there t= hat just hate any Apple product though.
