I have been using the VP-200 for quite a few years now. Perfect reliability. I wouldn’t even consider going back to manual breakers. As for setup, yes, it requires some competence, but so does building a plane. You get some pretty cool automation and capabilities in return.
A question for those who have experience with the Vertical Power VP-X electronic circuit breaker system.
I am building a LN360, and plan to fit probably the Garmin G3X EFIS system. I am considering also fitting the VP-X system, but in recent conversations with other builders have been told the tried and true thermal CB’s are a better way to go. The view of some is that while the VP-X can do a lot of clever things, it is not a simple system to set up, and can suffer from reliability issues.
I am interested in the opinions of others who have used the VP-X, or know of the experience of others who have.
Thanks in anticipation.
