Ironically, last week my son took our 1988 Sylvan ski boat out for some fun with his friends (tubing) and called me when the trim wouldn't go down. I drove out to the lake with some tools and after pulling some access panels, was floored to see the trim motor was the exact same thing as I got from Lancair for my gear hydraulic pack. The problem was simply cured by filling the reservoir (which I am sure is not your problem), but I am wondering if you approached this from the angle of this motor coming out of your "ski boat", if more reasonable options would surface?
