Peter, it is not an AD.   There was warranty coverage.  The revision was in 2002 so how many engines today are affected?  The last revision allowed the inspections to continue from 250 to 500 hours.   The inspection was an eyeball look taking 15 seconds with the cowl off.  Those affected likely took steps 12 years ago to deal with the warranty claim.

Your comment about most owners ignoring an AD does not seem accurate or appropriate and given your misunderstanding of the situation I think you should retract most of that post.
