The CSB =0A= required inspection of the starter adapter every 25 hours until 500 hours o= f =0A= operation=2C at which time=2C the adapter is to be replaced with the new O'= ring =0A= style shaft rather than the circlip style shaft=2C which is what is in your= =0A= engine THUS three possibilities 1. EVERY 25 hours inspection of starter adapter (if engine has less than 500 hours) 2. OVER 500 hours REQUIRED Starter adapter replaced 3. STARTER ADAPTER=20 rebuilt or replaced in the last couple of years (thus new style) none of these are fun=2C but having metal circulating through our engine is= likely to be even less fun i cannot imagine that anyone is complying by the 25 hour inspections. i exp= ect that most are either unfamiliar with this AD or are ignoring it.
