Continental Motors has offered a short version of their week-long maintenance clinic tailored specifically for Lancair owner/operators flying behind Continental engines. You’ll receive engine installation, maintenance and operation tips directly from the manufacturer! Continental Motors’ offer to host a LOBO maintenance clinic at its Fairhope, AL facility provides an unmatched opportunity to learn about the beating heart that powers most of our Lancair aircraft. Although focused on Continental engines, this event will be informative to all Lancair owners who fly behind piston-powered aircraft engines.

This event will kick off with a seafood buffet dinner on Thursday evening, 20 March, and end with hands-on fuel system set up/tuning on Saturday afternoon, 22 March. Continental factory reps will provide classroom instruction, handouts and assembly line tours during this period.

The weather is (usually) perfect this time of year in Alabama, and it will be a welcome break if you’re traveling down from places like Minnesota!

The cost is $100 per pilot attendee; free for spouses unless they opt for the $40 tour of Bellingrath Gardens and the downtown Festival of Flowers. You’ll need to fly or drive to Fairhope, AL (KCQF) to arrive prior to 1800 on Thursday, and plan to leave on Saturday late afternoon or (preferably) Sunday.
