2000' grass strip in a stock 235 is a Darwin Award waiting to happen.=C2=A0 I'm not shy=2C flew F-4Es for years=2C also flew grass strips in an OV-10.=C2=A0 Why not just give = me your 235 instead=2C rather than wrecking it?

If it has a C/S prop and bigger engine=2C maybe - but I still wouldn't have landed on grass with those tiny wheels except in an emergency.

All of that said=2C there are those who routinely fly 320/360s out of grass strips and I haven't heard of them causing a wreck - yet.
If you want to fly on short grass strips=2C get an RV tail dragger.= =C2=A0 Same cruise performance and more useful load=2C just a bit higher gas burn.

My 2 cents worth=2C others may disagree.

Blue skies=2C

I will post your question on the Lancair Mailing List for input from L235 owners who may have experience with grass strips.
My opinion is 2000' is too short even for a paved strip and grass would be too hard on the landing gear. =C2=A0Let's see what t= he 235 guys have to say.

Mr. Colwell=2C

I have very recently considered a Lancair 235. =C2=A0= I am in Arkansas and live on a 2000 ft grass airstrip. =C2=A0I don't really know anyone with a lancair near me. = I live near RUE to the north on Landers Loop Private. =C2= =A0I have looked online and don't really see much on performance and durability/safety. =C2=A0I would like to visit with someone that would have legitimate knowledge to give me some advice. =C2=A0I appreciate any help you may be able to lend!

Thanks=2C
