I just place a small dishtowel or washcloth (probably taken from a hotel), with a red tag hooked into it, into the gap created by the rudders position cocked to the side. Wedged in, it holds tight, and has the removal warning flag to remind me during pre-flight.

Subject: [LML] Lancair IV-P control locks
Hello Gang,
Does anyone have a good idea on how the best way to lock the rudder control without a clamp at the top of the rudder? Just not convenient putting a clamp up there!!??
Suggestions and pictures would be great.
Thanks,
... George (Lancair 4P-T owner, N193CG)
