Although the starter circuit is an "intermittent" circuit and as such most people are provided and use a "intermittent duty" starter solenoid, I highly recommend against it, having had 2 failures in the past of a similar nature.  Use only "continuous duty" solenoids, and do not mount them vertically due to the possibility of over powering the light spring inside during one of those "firm" landings or "moderate" turbulence which can cause intermittent contact at a bad time..  Additionally the continuous duty units have provisions to illuminate a light on the panel letting you know that power is being provided to the starting circuit.
