The restaurant is pretty centrally located on the field, right next to the fuel station, and across from the big hanger complex. Douglas Johnson MD Sent from my iPad
Everyone check out the website that Paul Miller suggest please. SCPOA.COM Also the website for the restaurant thedownwind.com
We need to park in the quest parking, there are airport diagrams on the websites as well as inbound procedures.
I'm not sure just where the restaurant is.
How about a head count on who's in. So far I have

Sorry for delayed reply. Saturday morning we typically gaggle at 8am, last week we had about 20-30 aircraft. Sunday is probably a good day to arrive. If anyone wants a tour of the place, we can grab a couple of golf carts so let me know ahead. Fuel is about 5.16 here.
There is a full arrival package on SCPOA.com and lots of visitor parking, Awos and Unicom are listed. Always check tfrs for rocket launches and other stuff.

Hi All,
OK, I've tried to include everyone at their personal email as well as the LML. I am suggesting Spruce Creek Sunday 12/ 29 at 11:00 am. I personally have never been there. It seems they have a lot of history and a lot going on. Feel free to arrive early and save me a parking spot.
I emailed the restaurant and got the following response so we're good to go. So check out the web site and the menu. It looks good.
When coming to the Downwind you are given permission to be a guest of Spruce
Creek. There is a link on our web page (Arrive by Air) this will link you with
The Spruce Creek Airport page and will give you all of the airport information
on where to park. We are looking forward to see you all, if you have any
questions please feel free to call.
Best,

I'm very excited with the response from every one and hope more will join in.
Joe, hoping this will work for you as they are closed on Mondays.
Others may have to work Monday as well. Not enough time but lets make this a every weekend or monthly get together in Florida.
Respond to all if you can make it or have any suggestions so I can pass it on to the restaurant .

OK, Cool we have a group
interested in getting together for brunch somewhere in Florida over the holidays. there are
many restaurants at airports across Florida
with in a hour from almost everywhere except Joe, along with some of the
least expensive fuel. $. 4.37 at KCHN just south of Lakeland.
We just need to all pick a day that works.

Adam: During your stay in FL, if you pop
over to Spruce Creek I have the dynamic balancing setup for the Legacy.
Once the transducer and optical unit is attached to the engine, you can
balance via ground runs with the cowl on or run the wires through the heating
duct into the cabin and fly it to get real measurements in flight. It
would take a few hours to get the solution and a few more runs possibly to home
in on a low IPS figure.
I still need to regrease the hub and
dynamically balance the engine/prop combination. I’m off to Florida tomorrow for vacation so it will
have to wait until I return. I’ll keep you posted.
