It appears that heat from the exhaust distorts the picture slightly if the = camera is mounted under the fuselage. Much better results under the wing. I've seen a mount made of fiberglass that fits like a shoe on the front of = the vertical stabilizer, but have not had a chance to try this. Several people have successfully fastened the GoPro camera to the outside o= f the fuselage with double sided tape, but I wasn't willing to risk losing = my camera or whacking someone, so I've used a mechanical fastening so far, = to include putting a screw through the base of the GoPro to attach it to th= e aluminum plate that I bolt to the tie-down.
