Another way you can cross check is comparing oil added after a change.  When=
 I add 8 qts with a new filter I read something between 7-8 on the stick aft=
er a leak check ground run.  I run at that 7-ish level without much change i=
n 25 hours, maybe half or one quart gets consumed or tossed out somewhere.
