I just washed the belly of my 360 this weekend for the first time in ~75hrs.  Ive been using XTreme Clean that I bought at OshKosh.   It works OK.  Ive used Simple Green.  It doesnt work any better that the Turtle Wax car soap I use on the rest of the plane.  The Scrubbing Bubbles took 90% of the soot off the belly on the first pass with a paper towel.  I was amazed. The thick stuff near the pipes took 3-4 applications but I hadn't cleaned that completely off in at least 150hrs.

Occasionally one wants to "clean" the paint, make bug removal easy and give the surface a freaking slick look that is more aerodynamically effective.  Well, don't bother wet washing it (I never washed my bird), use Dri-Wash. <<< http://www.driwashsolutions.com/ >>> Spray it on, wipe it around, wait for the haze to form and wipe it off with a clean soft terry cloth towel.  Any paint colors will be deepened.  Toss a towel down a wing and watch it slide over the slick surface.  Bugs can be removed by a re-application to  the wing leading edges or just use a water moistened cloth.  Works on the prop also.  Works on the windshield too.
