It's not a matter of how macho a pilot you are. It's a = matter of having the correct response, the first time, at the right = time. - make sure he thoroughly understands what constitutes a reliable = airframe and what it costs to get there. it's common for a 2nd owner = to think they are getting a great deal only to find that they are = $100,000 - $200,000 away from making it truly airworthy...or even "you = can't get there from here". - get him the Lancair resource sheet.
