How do you guys remove the cap and get the hose thingy screwed on w/o oil running all over the place?
Also, how do you ensure (e.g. safety wire) the cap on so that it doesn't unscrew in flight? Is there a safety wire hole on the cap somewhere that I don't see?
Thanks
Kevin

Subject: [LML] Re: Legacy IO-550 Oil Drain
Hi Valin,
I installed a SAF-AIR drain valve per below on my Legacy / IO550.
Easy / clear access.
t is not a full bore drain, but when I need to drain the oil, I usually do that after a flight so oil is hot and it drains no problem.
I don't have pic of installation to hand, but if you want – I can grab one when I'm next at airport.
