Being unable to find a 1/4" drive, 12 pt. 3/8" flex socket locally,
yesterday I successfully used a Craftsman ignition wrench to install
the exhaust-nut-from-hell on the #2 cylinder. Once again I had to
grind down the circumference of the wrench on the left side to get
it to fit between the nut and the pipe. In order to torque the nut I
had to use an extender on the handle of the little 3" wrench;
Unfortunately, the poor little wrench broke just as the nut reached
final torque. As you can see, bBoth the #4 oil drain tube and intake
tube must be removed to gain access.

I was able to use standard tools to torque up all the remaining
nuts, but in order to reach the inboard nut on the #3 cylinder on
the right side, I was forced to remove several items on the #1
cylinder: The intake tube, the oil drain line (just the top end),
the spark plug, the CHT probe, and the EGT probe all had to come
off. The wrench in the photo is a Snap-On 12 pt. combination wrench.

(If anyone was wondering, I had to grind off the heat muff on the #1
exhaust pipe in order to get the EGT and CHT probes to fit.)
