Hello LML gang,
With all the discussion regarding contactors/relays for starters, battery masters, and hydraulic pumps, we’ve been planning on using this Blue Sea contactor for the battery master and starter (http://www.bluesea.com/products/9012/L_Solenoid_-_12_24V_DC_250A ). Now thinking about using it for the hydraulic pump. It was recommended a few years ago by someone on the LML and looks very capable. We already have several of them and they look very well made – targeted toward marine applications though on the outside it looks like aerospace quality. Still planning on diode snubbers. Fairly heavy though at 1 lb each.
Does anyone see any problems using this same contactor/relay in each of these applications? Comments, thoughts…?

Thanks,
Valin Thorn
