You are not alone.
I have an EPI 800 (VM1000 forerunner) and all of the temperatures go wacky during transmit on either the Garmin 430 or the Terra Comm. These seem to be especially sensitive to VHF RF. Most temperature leads are shielded and so is the computer. Other composite aircraft with VM1000's experience the same problem to varying degrees with King or other radios. I join with you in seeking a solution!
