I use iPad mini - but not on a kneeboard.

I built a bracket that attaches to the left side of the canopy that holds
it. 

Works great for me.

Just curious as to anyone using iPad mini on kneeboard w Foreflight.  Or are
people preferring full size iPad on a specific kneeboard.  In our ES I could
go either way.  

Just happen to be in Apple store ready to pull the trigger.
