If this happens, then the fingers that hold the canopy in place b= egin to retract. I did my best with the threaded rods on the ball joints= to minimize this as well as other adjustments, but ultimately I wasn't abl= e to adjust the level arm so that the fingers were fully engaged when the a= rm was all the way down. The block allows the lever to go over center and then stop just as the fing= ers begin to reverse direction. This could indicate a design issue,= a construction issue, or even just an adjustment issue. I do recall during construction of the latches on the 360 that the fit of t= he actual parts did not exactly match the layout in the plans. If one were= to simply attach parts per the schematic, the latch would not fully engage= the striker. This could have easily led to the canopy popping open given = the right flexing of the fuselage etc. Some modification was required to m= atch the intent of the design. I also have a means of pulling down on the canopy at the top center of the = roll-over. Chris Zavatson N91CZ 360std http://www.n91cz.net/
