Surrounding ourselves with additional co= mplexity while at first is appealing, in many instances isn't a good soluti= on. I find that surrounding myself with safety ropes and other risk-limit= ing devices can sometimes just get in the way, and I'm not personally convi= nced that there is a real problem here. I don't think drama surrounding the canopy i= s needed or deserved. It has been shown that while tricky, the airplane is controllable if you ha= ppen to leave the canopy open.
