We never use the iPad for = navigation. It's only to use for aircraft or operational manuals and = Jepps. Soon we'll be adding 3G usage to download flight documents and = check WSI weather on the ground. I'm not sure if we'll be approved for = using in flight internet for downloading documents, but I wouldn't bet = against it.
