OK, here's one for you people who file IFR in the LNC2:

When an alternate is required, what is the maximum distance you can file from origin to destination, not including the distance to the alternate, and what is your total fuel capacity?  My calculations indicate that the standard fuel capacity (header tank, wing tanks,  no extended tanks) should give about 500 miles, with an alternate 100 miles from the destination, allowing for 45 minutes of fuel remaining.  Is this in the ballpark?

Also, for you who have the extended LNC2 tanks, do you have a second filler cap to verify fuel level when you don't fill the wing tanks all the way up, or do you rely on your fuel gauges?
