I find the Flight Guide iEFB works quite well for me on my iPad 2. I only use the VFR version as the wife convinced me to stop flying IFR when I got close to 80. My only squawk is visability when the sun floods the cockpit - but then that's likely a problem with all iPads or equivalents in any aircraft with a bubble canopy.
