At my last annual, the fading, cracking wing root fairing tape was removed and a silicone bead was used to fill the wing root fairing gap which thus far has held up nicely and looks good matching my stripes.

Speaking of gap seals, any recommendations on where to get them, how to attach them, whether to put them on a painted surface or sand it down?
