I had mentioned previously I would see about manufacturing compression tools for the nose gear strut.  I may do this, but do not have time to fool with it now.  Please see attached file that describes fabrication with drawings and directions for use of the device.  It is pretty simple to make with only a minor amount of welding and metal work.

Hi Fred,

See photos and drawing.  The prototype has some features not necessary so they are out of the drawing.  I thought the parts might need some play in them and did not intend to weld the all thread.  When I found out the tool would fit without a flexible joint, I simply welded the all thread on and so you don’t need the intermediate piece you see in the photo.
