I tried Steve's system a few weeks ago and was sorely disappointed in the results.  Tried several strategies to work one of those gadgets.  It would always slip off or be impossible to align with the ball stud so I gave up. Glad it works for some.  The goal here is to get everyone actually performing this test annually so that we don't hear of these collapsed nose gear stories every year.

Small, cheap and simple is always good, but efficiency and ease of use sometimes wins out.

Will send photos and drawings to LML and will also try to get some made if practical for those who don't do welding.
